Forest School
At Houghton School, outdoor learning is experienced weekly by EYFS pupils and this then develops into a weekly afternoon of active Forest School learning for Year One. Across the rest of the school, pupils in each class enjoy a block of 4-6 weeks of Forest School, linked to the wider curriculum and providing opportunities to develop fitness, problem-solving and team work. It is a highlight of the year - and we love it in all weathers!
